Peter Winsley has over 30 years of work experience in various government agencies and organizations. Peter began their career in 1990 as the Manager of Policy and Strategy at the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology, where they worked for a decade. In 2000, they transitioned to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, serving as the Director of Strategy Development until 2007. From 2007 to 2012, Peter worked at the Ministry of Economic Development as the Chief Advisor. Currently, they are the Principal Economist at the Tertiary Education Commission, where they focus on tertiary education investment, operational and strategic policy, and vocational education and training.
Peter Winsley attended Victoria University of Wellington, where they obtained a BA (Hons), MA, and PhD in the fields of English, Economics, and Management. Prior to that, they attended Waitaki Boys' High, but no degree or field of study information was provided.
