Larry Schaecher

Larry Schaecher has over three decades of experience in software engineering and quality assurance. Larry has worked for various companies including Terumo BCT, LGS Innovations, Avaya, and Lockheed Martin Astronautics.

At Terumo BCT, Larry worked as an Engineering Software Quality Technical Lead, responsible for building, testing, and delivering embedded software for medical devices. Larry was a member of the scrum team and played a vital role in testing the embedded software changes and hardware updates for the Optia apheresis and Quantum cell expansion medical devices. Larry also handled the planning and execution of Software QA activities.

Prior to Terumo BCT, Larry served as a System Test Engineer at LGS Innovations, where they contributed to building and delivering custom communications solutions for the U.S. Federal Government.

Larry spent a significant portion of their career at Avaya, starting as a Senior QA Engineer in 1998. Larry was responsible for coordinating test teams across multiple locations and overseeing test lab setup and configurations. Larry also handled test case execution responsibilities and test automation for contact center reporting/data analytics software.

Their earliest work experience was at Lockheed Martin Astronautics, where they held the position of Staff Software Engineer. During their time there, Larry provided technical leadership for the Flight Controls Software and Validation Group, specializing in the verification and validation of flight software for Titan launch vehicles.

Larry Schaecher attended Colorado School of Mines from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Geophysics. Their primary field of study was Engineering.
