Rob Dawson

Rob Dawson joined Tervita in March 2017 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed to Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development in May 2019. Rob brings over 20 years of experience leading finance and accounting teams across a broad range of industries including 13 years in the Alberta oil sands. He brings a broad range of experience in strategy, finance and capital markets, risk management, investor relations and financial reporting.

Prior to joining Tervita, Rob was the Chief Financial Officer for Canadian Oil Sands. Up until its acquisition in 2016, Canadian Oil Sands was the largest owner in the Syncrude oil sands mining project. Previously Rob worked in progressively senior roles at Suncor Energy Inc., Global Crossing Ltd out of Dublin, Ireland and the Reinsurance industry in Bermuda.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Accountant.
