Elijah Lohman

Elijah Lohman, MB(ASCP) has a diverse work experience in the field of molecular biology and medical laboratory science. Elijah began their career as a Research Intern at UTMB- Molecular Pathology in 2014, where they received hands-on training and experience in Molecular Genetics and research. In 2015, Elijah had clinical rotations at MD Anderson- Molecular Diagnostics Lab and Baylor Miraca Genetics Laboratories, where they gained clinical training in various molecular techniques and research and development skills.

From 2015 to 2021, Elijah worked as a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where they played a key role in medical laboratory operations. Elijah has significant experience and expertise in the field, particularly in molecular diagnostics.

Currently, Elijah serves as a Research Laboratory Supervisor at Tesis Biosciences, a position they started in March 2022. As a supervisor, they oversee laboratory operations and ensures the smooth execution of research projects.

Throughout their career, Elijah has demonstrated a strong foundation in molecular biology techniques, including DNA extraction, PCR, and Next Generation Sequencing. Elijah has also gained expertise in bacterial and viral pathogen testing and clinical assay development and validation.

Elijah Lohman, MB(ASCP), obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Genetic Technology from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center-School of Health Professions from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's Degree in Biology, General at Houston Community College from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, Elijah obtained the certification of MB(ASCP) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in August 2015. Elijah has also completed two courses, namely Learn R Course and R for Programmers Course, at Codecademy, with both courses obtained in October 2022.
