Position Summary: 

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of Supply Chain to join our collaborative Supply Chain group at Tessera Therapeutics. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain and will offer an exciting opportunity to help build Tessera’s clinical supply chain and external manufacturing networks. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently on various aspects of the platform.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support establishment of phase appropriate clinical supply chain capabilities involving:
  • Supply Chain Planning & Strategy
  • Transportation Management
  • Traceability, Artwork, and Labeling
  • Supply Chain Systems (ERP, Analytics, & Reporting)
  • Work collaboratively with CMC, Manufacturing, Quality and other key stakeholders to help forecast critical non-GMP and GMP supplies in support of Tessera’s portfolio needs
  • Develop and maintain supply planning and inventory tracking models for pre-clinical and clinical demands including critical raw/starting materials, drug substances, drug products, and finished materials
  • Responsible for inventory and order management of critical raw/starting materials supporting Process Development and Manufacturing teams
  • Support identification and contracting with critical GMP supply chain and CMO partners
  • Provide project management support to cross-functional teams responsible for ensuring successful project execution with CMO partners
  • Collaborate with QA and other stakeholders to establish phase appropriate Supply Chain Policies and SOPs in accordance with cGMP, GDP, GCP, and ICH guidelines
  • Provide support in supply chain and external manufacturing budgeting 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline and 8+ years’ experience (Master’s Degree with 6+ years’ experience) in a Clinical Supply Chain or CMC role in a Pharmaceutical or Biotech environment 
  • General experience with supply chain processes, methodologies, and technologies 
  • Experience with business process mapping, improvement, and implementation 
  • Knowledge and experience working in accordance with cGMP, GDP, GCP, and ICH guidelines 
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional projects and processes 
  • Experience engaging with external suppliers and partners 
  • Experience working with QMS and ERP systems 
  • Advanced proficiency with standard office software (Excel, PPT, etc.) 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in set-up and management of supply chain and study drug logistics in global clinical trials 
  • Experience engaging with external partners on complex projects 
  • Experience working in a gene therapy supply chain role 
  • APICS certification or equivalent
