Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative researcher to join our DMPK group at Tessera Therapeutics. This position reports to the Associate Director of DMPK, and will offer an exciting opportunity to develop and employ LC-MS methods to quantitate oligonucleotides to support research, non-clinical, and clinical development programs for a variety of therapeutic indications. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently on various aspects of the platform.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and extract oligonucleotides from various biological matrices including biofluids, tissues, cells, and subcellular fractions, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Design and execute experiments from sample preparation, LC-MS/MS operation to data analysis.
  • Contribute to LC-MS method development for quantitation of oligonucleotides in various biological matrices.
  • Follow method SOPs for sample analysis and data collection.
  • Clearly document and maintain laboratory notebooks and computer documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide bioanalytical support.
  • Work in accordance with health and safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related industry, or Master's degree with 3+ years of related industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience operating and maintaining an LC-MS system and running high throughput bioanalytical analysis are required.
  • Knowledge of biological sample preparation and extraction techniques for downstream LC-MS analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct multiple laboratory and project tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with flexibility.
  • Good attention to details and a good ability to maintain precise records are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in RNA extraction from in vivo samples such as blood or tissue is a plus.
  • Experience in automated liquid handling instruments, such as Hamilton and KingFisher, is a plus.
  • Experience in biotech or pharma industry is preferred.
