Bereket Fisseha

Bereket Fisseha, Ph.D., P.Eng. is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Tetra Tech, with previous experience as a Geotechnical Engineer at Golder and a Research Engineer at the Oil Sands Tailings Research Facility. With a robust background in geotechnical and environmental engineering, responsibilities include organizing and supervising field investigations, laboratory tests, and the installation of monitoring instruments, alongside designing and constructing various earthwork structures. Bereket holds a Ph.D. in Geoenvironmental Engineering from the University of Alberta, a Master of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering from Carleton University, and a Bachelor of Science in Soil and Water Conservation from the University of Asmara. The academic foundation includes research on paste/thickened tailings deposition, leading to a focus on flow behaviors in multilayer deposits.
