Bernadette Flores

Assistant Professional Professor at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi

Bernadette Marie Flores, also known as Bee, attained a B.A. in English and Spanish from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She graduated in Spring 2014 and was accepted into the English Master’s Program in Fall 2014 and graduated in Summer 2017. She is an early career academic with research interests in American Literature, Gender studies, and Writing studies, research, and pedagogy. She has worked as a CASA writing consultant since Fall 2015. After working in the Writing Center, Professor Flores went on to be a GTA for ENGL 1302 with the Department of Undergraduate Studies. She also taught as an adjunct and worked as a writing consultant. She is now proud to be a Professional Assistant Professor of First Year Seminar. As of Fall 2019, Professor Flores is currently teaching two Writing & Rhetoric courses and four First Year Seminar courses. She also loves to read, watch horror movies, bullet journal, Harry Potter, anything shark related, and most of all, Batman.
