Elyn Palmer

Elyn Palmer, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Graduate Student Success at Texas Tech University, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Elyn worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor from July 2021 to August 2023 and held various academic leadership positions, including Executive Director/Dean at Wayland Baptist University Lubbock and Dean of the College of Education at the University of the Southwest from 2013 to 2020. Elyn's experience also encompasses counseling roles and faculty positions at several institutions, including a significant tenure at Texas Tech University as Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences. Elyn holds a PhD in Higher Education from Texas Tech University, a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Guidance and Counseling from the University of the Southwest, and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in English and Theatre, also from the University of the Southwest.
