Jon Malmgren

Jon Malmgren has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jon started their career in 2008 as an Assistant Audio Engineer at Bass Productions, where they contributed to the efficiency and creative environment of the recording studio. In 2010, they worked as an Audio Engineer at GM Voices, editing audio files for automated voice services. During this time, they prioritized meeting deadlines and delivering projects on time. In 2010, Jon also ventured into entrepreneurship and founded Back Pack Music, an Atlanta-based recording studio that provided audio recording, editing, and mixing services. As the owner, they ensured a unique and customized experience for clients. In 2012, Jon joined Apple as a Business Specialist, working closely with small businesses to implement Apple technology and deliver relevant solutions tailored to their use cases. At Big Nerd Ranch, Jon served as a Business Development Manager from 2015-2017, helping big companies and startups develop, deploy, and scale mobile applications. Jon also conducted immersive app development bootcamps and authored book series and guides. From 2017-2020, Jon worked at Pivotal Software, Inc. as an Inside Sales Representative and later as part of the Global Education Sales team. In these roles, they partnered with enterprise account executives and Fortune 500 companies, promoting Pivotal's education and enablement services for software development on Pivotal Cloud Foundry. Despite market challenges and company acquisitions, Jon successfully grew sales by over $3 million in their first year. Most recently, Jon was employed at Tackle.io from 2020-2023, initially as an Account Executive and subsequently as a Senior Account Executive, focusing on renewals and expansion. Jon played a key role in maintaining customer relationships and facilitating business growth. Jon's career journey culminated in 2023 when they joined TextQL as the Head of Growth, overseeing the company's growth strategies and initiatives.

Jon Malmgren earned an Associate's degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University in 2006-2007.
