Ismaeel Ameen

Ismaeel Ameen is currently serving as the Director of Data Engineering & Delivery at The AA since October 2024. Prior to this role, Ismaeel held the position of Global Head of Data Engineering at Dr. Martens plc from March 2022 to August 2024. Ismaeel's earlier experience includes serving as Head of Data Engineering Development & Data Management at Robert Walters from June 2018 to March 2022, where responsibilities encompassed the operational, strategic, and architectural direction of global departments in various countries. Additionally, Ismaeel was the Head of Database Engineering & Business Intelligence at j2 Global from September 2014 to June 2018, overseeing teams related to B2C and B2B backup applications across multiple locations. Prior roles include Head of Database Engineering at Priority Pass from 2008 to September 2014, and various IT engineering roles from 1997 to 2008, covering Lead Developer to Lead DBA and Lead BI Engineer positions.
