Nik Higgins

Nik Higgins has a diverse work experience. Nik co-founded and served as the Chief Growth Officer of The Ambassador Platform from 2017 to 2023, where they were responsible for commercial strategy, sales, business development, and international expansion. The company was later acquired by IDP Education.

Nik also worked as a Non-Executive Director at Pucker from 2020 to 2021, a company that produced handmade face masks using a distributed production model during the Covid lockdown.

In addition, they worked as an Adviser at projectaccess.co for a brief period in 2018.

Prior to these roles, Nik was the Head of Learning Beyond the Classroom at BSix College from 2014 to 2017, where they managed various student service provisions and improved progression rates to higher education. Nik also served as the Raising Aspirations Coordinator, managing access provision for Pembroke and Wadham College at the University of Oxford in the Hackney area.

Before that, they worked as a Widening Participation Assistant at King's College London while completing their MA in 2013/14, providing administrative support and managing correspondence for the Widening Participation team.

Lastly, they were the Raising Aspirations Coordinator at Ashton Sixth Form College from 2012 to 2013, where they established and managed access provision and outreach programs for students, including partnerships with universities throughout the UK.

Nik Higgins has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Oxford, which was completed from 2009 to 2012. Nik then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Contemporary Literature, Culture, and Theory from King's College London, which they completed from 2013 to 2014. In addition to their academic qualifications, Nik Higgins has obtained certifications in Advanced Safeguarding and Child Protection Training from Kidscape (CPD accredited) and NSPCC Safer Recruitment in Education from NSPCC, although the specific months and years of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
