Yalea Baughman

Yalea Baughman has extensive work experience in the education field. Yalea is currently working as the Director of School Support, Midwest at Achievement Network. Prior to this role, they served as a Principal Resident at Noble Schools and as an Assistant Principal of Instruction at KIPP Texas Public Schools. Yalea also worked at Uplift Education, where they held the positions of Assistant Principal of Instruction and Assistant Principal of Scholar Culture. Yalea has experience in curriculum development, teacher coaching, disciplinary systems, and organizing school-wide activities. Before joining Uplift Education, Yalea worked as a Teacher at Dallas Independent School District, where they developed a chemistry lab curriculum. Yalea also served as a Site Director at Destination Science, where they administered camp activities and evaluated teacher performance. Yalea's earlier experience includes teaching at Williamson County Schools and Metro Nashville Public Schools, where they implemented data-driven instruction and designed educational programs. Yalea also worked as a Summer Professional Development Instructor at Nashville Teaching Fellows, where they conducted seminars to support new teachers.

Yalea Baughman's education history begins in 2004 when they enrolled at Grand Valley State University. Yalea completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, General in 2008.

In 2009, Yalea Baughman pursued further education at Belmont University, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Teaching. Yalea'sstudies at Belmont University lasted from 2009 to 2011.

After completing their master's degree, Yalea Baughman obtained additional certification in Chemistry 416 from the Tennessee Department of Education in August 2011.

In 2016, Yalea Baughman attended Lamar University and received Principal Certification. Yalea'sstudies at Lamar University were completed in 2017.

Currently, Yalea Baughman is enrolled at Capella University, where they are pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. Yalea began their doctoral studies in 2021 and is expected to finish in 2023.
