Communications & Marketing Lead- Aspen Ideas: Health at The Aspen Institute

Katie Taylor has a diverse work experience. Katie started their career as a Communication and Research Assistant at the National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity in 2005. Katie then joined the American Heart Association in 2005, where they held roles such as Grassroots Project Coordinator and National Grassroots Manager. During their time at the American Heart Association, Katie was responsible for developing national campaigns, managing social media, and cultivating partnerships. In 2014, they worked as a Digital Content Writer at Beekeeper Group. Katie then moved on to the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, where they served as the National Engagement Manager, focusing on the redesign and re-branding of their e-advocacy website and content strategy. In 2016, they joined Reebok as the Global Community Engagement & Content Manager, overseeing key product launches and developing social strategies. Currently, Katie is working at The Aspen Institute as the Communications & Marketing Lead for Aspen Ideas: Health and as the Communications Project Lead for Public Health Reaching Across Sectors (PHRASES).

Katie Taylor holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from The George Washington University. Katie also has a Master's Degree in Social and Public Communication from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Additionally, they studied at Murdoch University as part of the Council on International Education Exchange program.
