Weisong Shi

Weisong Shi serves as the Alumni Distinguished Professor and Chair at the University of Delaware since October 2022. In addition, Weisong Shi is the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Internet Computing starting January 2024 and holds the honorary position of Center Director at eCAT NSF IUCRC since March 2023. As the Director of The CAR Lab since December 2017, participation in strategic planning for the Autoware Foundation commenced in July 2022. Weisong Shi has been the Editor-in-Chief of Smart Health Journal since September 2016 and served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Internet Computing Magazine from June 2017 to December 2023. Previous roles include various directorships and academic positions at Wayne State University from August 2002 to March 2023, as well as a Program Director at the National Science Foundation from August 2013 to August 2015. Weisong Shi's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Bachelor of Engineering from Xidian University.
