Gameplay Engineering Manager at The Believer Company

Warsam Osman has a diverse work experience in the gaming and software engineering industry. Warsam began their career as a Programmer for a student programming team, where they developed a C++ OpenGL 2D Game Engine. Warsam then joined the student team, Team Manus, as a Programmer, working on a 2D defense shooter game called Nerd Rage. After that, they served as a Lead Programmer for Team Thor, where they developed a FPS multiplayer game called Escape From The Claw.

In 2013, Osman worked as a Programmer Intern at Gearbox Software, collaborating with designers to specify gameplay systems and extending the editor with content creation tools. Warsam then joined Crytek as an Associate Programmer, working on the game HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age.

In 2014, Osman worked at Demon Wagon Studios as a Programmer, developing the first-person survival-horror game Kraven Manor. Warsam also worked at Oculus VR as an Engineering Manager, overseeing the engineering team from 2014 to 2019.

From 2019 to 2020, Osman was a Senior Software Engineer at Facebook. Following this, they joined Mountaintop Studios as a Gameplay Engineer, where they worked until 2023.

Currently, Osman is employed as a Senior Gameplay Engineer at The Believer Company.

Warsam Osman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, which they obtained between 2009 and 2011. In 2012, they pursued a Master's degree in Interactive Technology with a specialization in Software Development at The Guildhall at Southern Methodist University. Warsam completed their Master's program in 2013.
