Alfred Rizzi currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at The Boston Dynamics AI Institute, a position held since October 2022. Prior to this role, Rizzi was the Chief Scientist at Boston Dynamics from January 2006 to September 2022 and worked as a Senior Staff Roboticist at Google from February 2014 to February 2018. Rizzi's academic career includes serving as an Associate Research Professor at Carnegie Mellon University from January 1996 to December 2005 and a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan from January 1994 to December 1995. Early in Rizzi's career, experience included being an Engineer II at Northrop Grumman from August 1986 to July 1988. Rizzi earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Yale University and a ScB in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
