Richard O'Reilly

Richard O'Reilly has a diverse work experience in the aquatic and emergency medical fields. Richard started their career as an Ocean Lifeguard and EMT at the City of Solana Beach in 2017. In 2018, they became a Junior Lifeguard Instructor and later advanced to the role of Senior Lifeguard. Richard also served as a Lifeguard and Head Lifeguard at the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito starting in 2012. In 2020, they joined the County of San Diego as an Emergency Medical Technician, specializing in T3 Operations for COVID-19. Additionally, they have worked as a Swim Coach for USA Swimming and the Rancho San Dieguito Swim Team from 2015 to 2017.

Richard O'Reilly has a diverse education history. Richard obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Open Water Lifeguard from San Diego Miramar College and an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Social and Behavioral Sciences from MiraCosta College. Richard also completed their General Education at San Dieguito Academy between 2008 and 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Richard O'Reilly has obtained various certifications. Richard earned the Open Water Diver Certification from PADI in November 2021 and the SDEMS/HHSA COVID EMT Vaccine Administration Certification from the County of San Diego in April 2021. Richard also holds certifications such as Athlete Protection Training from USA Swimming (May 2019), PC 832 Laws Of Arrest from San Diego Regional Public Safety Institute (December 2018), Swiftwater Rescue Technician 1 from Rescue 3 International (November 2018), and Emergency Medical Technician from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (May 2018). Richard has also completed certifications in Lifeguard Vehicle Operations/Code 3, Low Angle Rope Rescue Operational, Personal Watercraft Operations, Rescue Systems 1, Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (May 2017), San Diego Regional Open Water Lifeguard Academy, and USA Swim Coaching Certification (April 2016).
