John Calistro

John Calistro has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to the present. John began their career as the CTO and co-founder of Rescway do Brasil, a company focused on improving work processes and safety in confined spaces. After leaving Rescway, John held roles as a Community Manager at Prime Systems, Technical Evangelist and Ambassador at Branch, and Marketing & Product specialist at RankMyApp. John then worked as a Lead Developer at iDEXO, where they advised startups and strengthened their relationships with local tech providers and communities. Following that, John served as a Community Manager at TOTVS, where they implemented processes to manage and organize meetups and events, contributing to a 10% monthly community growth rate. John also participated in the team that open-sourced the company's first project, the PO-UI framework. Most recently, John held the position of Global Senior Community Program Manager at Turing.com, and they are currently the Head of Community at The Bridge Social.

John Calistro has a Bachelor of Technology - BTech degree in Computer Systems Analysis from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi, which they obtained from 2019 to 2021. John also holds a degree in Data Processing and Data Processing Technology/Technician, which they earned from ETEC Ipaussu from 1998 to 2000. Additionally, John has a degree in Accounting Technology/Technician and Bookkeeping from Colegio Comercial Ruy Barbosa, which they completed from 1984 to 1986. John has obtained various certifications from institutions such as Google and Code School, including certifications in Google Cloud Platform and various programming languages.
