Mikaela Gervard has extensive work experience in the coffee industry. Mikaela started their career at Fratello Torrefazione Oy in 2011, where they worked as a Restaurant Manager and barista until 2013. Mikaela then joined Coffee Collective in 2013, initially working as a barista while also competing in coffee competitions at a national and international level. In 2016, they transitioned into the role of Human Resources Coordinator at Coffee Collective, where they focused on operational tasks. Mikaela eventually became the Head of Human Resources, taking on more strategic responsibilities in collaboration with the CEO and board of directors. Mikaela continues to grow in this role, contributing to the organization and its employment strategy.
Mikaela Gervard obtained a Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued independent studies in English language at Washtenaw Community College from 2007 to 2008. Earlier, they completed their Matriculation Exam at Mäkelänrinteen lukio from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their education, Mikaela has obtained several certifications, including Executive HR from Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development, a Foundation course on Human Resource Management from the University of Vaasa, and Personalejura for praktikere from Kooperationen.
