Jillian Olinger

Director Of Community Life, Great Lakes Region at The Community Builders, Inc.

Jillian Olinger has extensive experience in community development and social justice. Currently, they are the Director of Community Life for the Great Lakes Region at The Community Builders, Inc. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Mission Officer at YWCA Columbus, where they provided strategic leadership for program development and public policy initiatives. Jillian has also worked at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at The Ohio State University, where they held various positions, including Director of Division of Housing and Civic Engagement and Research Associate. Additionally, they worked as a Community Researcher at Case Western Reserve University, where they contributed to a study on the impact of the food retail environment on community health. Throughout their career, Jillian has demonstrated a commitment to advancing equitable development and fostering community engagement.

Jillian Olinger completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2001 to 2006. Jillian then pursued a Masters degree in Public Policy & Management, as well as City and Regional Urban Planning, at The Ohio State University from 2007 to 2009.
