Dr. Marcia Goddard

Dr. Marcia Goddard has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple fields and industries. Dr. Marcia has held various roles in organizations such as The Contentment Foundation, Equalture, Brain Matters Consulting, Tony's Chocolonely, &ranj, YoungCapital, Leiden University, Inzowijs, Erasmus MC, and Leiden University Medical Center.

In their most recent position as Chief Culture Officer at The Contentment Foundation, Dr. Goddard focuses on building a culture of inclusion, resilience, and mental wellbeing in a hybrid work environment.

Prior to that, they founded Contentment for Business to address the challenges and benefits of hybrid work cultures.

Dr. Marcia has also worked as the Director of Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Advisor for Corporate Partnerships at The Contentment Foundation.

Dr. Goddard served as an Advisory Board Member at Equalture, where they provided guidance and expertise.

As a Diversity, Inclusion & Culture Consultant at Brain Matters Consulting, they assisted organizations in various aspects, including diversity and inclusion, organizational culture, building high-performing teams, recruitment, performance management, and mental health/well-being.

At Tony's Chocolonely, Dr. Goddard held the role of Head of People & Culture, where they were responsible for the entire scope of people and culture topics, with a focus on culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Dr. Marcia worked as the Head of HR/Culture Research at &ranj, leading HR and company culture projects and designing and executing research projects focused on organizational culture and entrepreneurial behaviors.

Dr. Goddard was the Head of HR Science & Innovation at YoungCapital, where they quantified the organization's culture and developed a mental health management program.

Dr. Marcia has also served as an Assistant Professor and a PhD candidate/Teacher at Leiden University.

Dr. Goddard worked as a Psychologist at Inzowijs, an Intern at the department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Erasmus MC, and a Research Assistant at the departments of Neurology/Neuropsychology at both Leiden University Medical Center and Leiden University.

Throughout their career, Dr. Marcia Goddard has leveraged their expertise in neuroscience and psychology to make significant contributions to the fields of culture, diversity and inclusion, and mental health and well-being in various professional settings.

Dr. Marcia Goddard is a highly educated professional with a strong background in neuroscience and psychology. Dr. Marcia holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Neuroscience from Leiden University. Prior to their Ph.D., they completed a Master's Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at Leiden University in 2012 and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the same institution from 2008 to 2011.

In terms of their earlier education, Dr. Goddard attended Zaanlands Lyceum from 1996 to 2002 for their high school education.

Additionally, Dr. Goddard has obtained further certifications to enhance their professional skills. Dr. Marcia holds an ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) certification from SeeTrue Opleidingen & Trainingen, which they obtained in 2017. Dr. Marcia also possesses a NIP Psychodiagnostics Certificate from the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen, for which the specific obtained month and year are not provided.
