Carlos A. Oliveras

Carlos A. Oliveras is the current Head of Insurance at The Demex Group. Prior to this, they were the CEO and Managing Director at Kane (USA), Inc. from January 2013 to August 2015 where they were responsible for the full P&L in the USA. Carlos managed 12 alternative risk transfer staff at 6 North American locations and was a member of global executive management team for Kane’s insurance management business that coordinated efforts of 130 staff across all global locations and accounts.

Under Carlos' leadership, they led a business turnaround by establishing a high performance culture, growing the captive practice and programs, and increasing business development & marketing activity. Their focus on people, technical process and infrastructure aligned the business with clients’ needs, creating a plan for growth and success. As a result, they reversed year-over-year loss trend, returned business to profitability, and positioned the company for sale.

Some of the applied skills Carlos has include: being able to accelerate sales (Group Captive Programs), establish sustainable long-term growth strategies, align customer + service delivery, due diligence acquisitions, strategic + operational planning, high employee engagement, and high performing accountable teams.
