Lauren Perl

Editorial And Research Intern at The Democracy & Culture Foundation

Lauren Perl is an experienced professional and student at Harvard University, currently serving as the Founder and Executive Director of BallotWise since May 2024. In addition, Lauren holds the position of Editorial and Research Intern at The Democracy & Culture Foundation and has been deeply involved with the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School, where responsibilities include co-directing the Harvard Citizenship Tutoring Program and serving as a speaker at events. Lauren has also worked as a civics educator, chair of the CIVICS program, and has held numerous roles fostering civic engagement, including serving as a legal researcher for Lawyers Without Borders. Active in various extracurricular activities, Lauren has contributed as a producer and director for the Lowell House Opera, a campus tour guide, and a journalist with the Harvard Political Review. Lauren's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in History and Literature, expected in May 2025, following a high school diploma from Poolesville High School in the Global Ecology Studies Program.
