Hirwa Jean Paul

Hirwa Jean Paul has a solid work experience in the field of gorilla conservation and research. Hirwa started their career in 2009 as a Research Assistant at the Karisoke Research Center, where they worked until 2013. In 2014, they joined The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International as a Protection and Monitoring Officer, and stayed until 2015. Hirwa then returned to The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in 2017, assuming the role of Gorilla Program Manager until March 2022. Following that, they were promoted to Senior Manager of Program Operations in April 2022, a position they currently hold.
