Matt McDowell, CIC has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Matt began their career in 1991 as a Crew Chief for the US Air Force Special Operations Command, where they provided support for military operations in northern Iraq. After serving in the Air Force for four years, Matt transitioned to the insurance industry, joining Allstate Insurance as a Sales representative from 1996 to 2000. Matt then moved on to MEEMIC Insurance Company, where they served as the Manager of Underwriting, Customer Service, and Agency Sales from 2000 to 2008. In 2008, Matt joined East Lansing APCapital as the Manager of Distribution Agent Development until 2010. Following this, they joined The Doctors Company, where they progressively moved up the ranks, starting as a Manager of Business Development from 2008 to 2012. Matt then took on the role of Director of Business Development from 2012 to 2013, followed by Assistant Vice President of Business Development from 2013 to 2016, and finally serving as Vice President of Business Development from 2016 onwards.

Matt McDowell, CIC has a strong educational background that has equipped him with the necessary skills and knowledge for their professional career. Matt holds a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Sales and Marketing from Kellogg Executive Education, which they obtained in 2018. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued a Masters degree in Strategic Management from Walsh College. In 1996, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Finance from the same institution.
