Teaching Artist - Drawing Connections at The Drawing Center

Maria Hupfield is currently working as a Canadian Research Chair in Transdisciplinary Indigenous Arts at the University of Toronto and as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Maria has experience as a teaching artist at The Drawing Center, as an artist in various settings including The Bronx Museum of the Arts and the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian, and as an adjunct and assistant professor at institutions such as The Cooper Union and Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Maria's work focuses on visual arts, indigenous practices, and community building.
