Alana Parker

Alana Parker is an accomplished student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Journalism at American University, expected to graduate in December 2025. Currently serving as a Press Intern for Senator Amy Klobuchar in the United States Senate, Alana compiles daily press clips and creates monthly news breakdowns. At WVAU, Alana holds the position of Programming Director while also contributing as a DJ, web staff writer, and music staff reviewer. Alana also serves as Assistant Opinion Editor and columnist for The American University Eagle, edits social media content, and guides new students as an Orientation Leader. Previous experience includes a campaign internship with Hilary Franz for Congress, where significant fundraising was achieved, and an earlier internship with Senator Ron Wyden, focusing on press releases and media monitoring.
