Anu Atre is a seasoned professional in food security and humanitarian analysis with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Food Security Analyst for the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) focused on the Horn of Africa, Anu has held significant roles including Deputy Country Coordinator - Head of Research & Analysis at REACH Initiative and Research Consultant for the United Nations Panel of Experts on South Sudan. Anu's background includes a progression of positions at REACH Initiative, where Anu contributed to population movement assessments and humanitarian monitoring. Previous experiences also encompass research consulting for the Disasters Emergency Committee and a role as M&E and Programmes Officer at the International Rescue Committee. Anu holds an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Nonviolence from Colorado College.
