Michael Chmelar

Michael Chmelar has over a decade of experience in the accounting and auditing field, currently serving as Managing Director in the Department of Professional Practice at KPMG since October 2009. Michael has held various roles at KPMG, including Audit Senior Manager, Audit Manager, Senior Associate, and Associate. In addition to this extensive experience, Michael is also a Practice Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) since August 2023. Michael Chmelar holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, both from Florida State University, where studies were completed between 2004 and 2009.
