Micaela Linder

Senior Director Of Research at The Fortune Society

Micaela Linder has extensive work experience in various research and educational roles. Micaela is currently an Adjunct Lecturer at John Jay College (CUNY) starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at The Fortune Society from 2015 onwards, initially as a Health Policy Researcher/Educator before progressing to Director of Research and eventually becoming the Senior Director of Research. From 2021 to 2022, they were a Fellow at The Public Science Project, CUNY Graduate Center. In 2012, they worked at the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution, Columbia University as a Project Coordinator and Research Assistant. Micaela also served as an Administrative Associate at the National Center for Children and Families, Columbia University from 2012 to 2015.

Micaela Linder's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at Hampshire College to pursue their Bachelor's degree in Reproductive and Sexual Rights and Health. Micaela completed their undergraduate studies in 2011. Afterward, they went on to attend Teachers College, Columbia University, where they obtained their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Developmental Psychology between 2012 and 2015. Most recently, from 2019 to 2025, Micaela has been pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Critical Social Psychology at The Graduate Center, City University of New York.

In addition to their academic degrees, Micaela has obtained various certifications over the years. In 2018, they completed the Mental Health First Aid certification through the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In 2019, they obtained the HQ Principles 2.0 certification from the National Association for Healthcare Quality, the Outcomes Star certification from Triangle Consulting Social Enterprise Ltd, and the Social & Behavioral Research certification from the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY, in 2019.
