Leah Smit

Leah Smit has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

In 2016, they started their career as a Barista at Joe Coffee Company and concurrently worked as an Instructor at Long Island City School of Ballet. Leah continued these roles until 2018 when they became a Flight Attendant at JetBlue.

In 2021, Leah transitioned to the hospitality industry and worked as a Head Barista, Bartender, and Manager at Parched Hospitality Group for a year. Leah then took on the role of Operations Manager at Casa Nela for a few months in 2022.

Leah also gained experience in the field of user experience design. In 2022, they worked as a Server at Nothing Really Matters before joining Tennis Esports as a User Experience Designer for a brief period in 2023. Leah then moved on to become a User Experience Designer at The Glimpse Group.

From 2022 to 2023, Leah studied at the New York Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in UX/UI Design and Development.

Prior to that, from 2011 to 2015, Leah attended Texas State University, where they completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. Their field of study during this time was Dance, Art, and Design.

In addition to their formal education, Leah has obtained two certifications. In February 2023, they completed the Learn HTML Course offered by Codecademy. The following month, in March 2023, they also completed the Learn CSS Course from the same institution.
