Betsy Scanlan

Betsy Scanlan has extensive experience in the business world. In 2017, they co-founded The Good Patch, a wellness company that pioneered plant-based patches designed to deliver sustained, discreet relief for life's common complaints. Within one year of starting the business, The Good Patch landed multiple partnerships with major retailers such as Anthropologie, Bloomingdales and FabFitFun, and has since expanded nationwide. Prior to this, Scanlan was an active real estate agent in Tennessee and formerly in Florida, as well as a contractor and investor in Tennessee and North Carolina. Betsy was also the CEO and Founder of Bearwallow Real Estate and Development, a property preservation company serving as a liaison between agents and banks rehabilitating properties after the market turn in 2008. In 2016, they founded and became the CEO of The Downing Group, formulating over-the-counter products to mitigate the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation using THC and CBD, incorporating cannabis into gels and creams to reach individuals suffering from cancer treatments, and advocating for medical cannabis within the Tennessee State Legislature.
