Levon Hovhannisyan has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Levon started working at Armenian Development Bank OJSC in 2009, where they held positions as a Specialist and later as a Leading Specialist of the Forex Operations Subdivision until 2013. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Ardshinbank CJSC as a Leading Specialist and later as a Chief Specialist of the Forex Operations Subdivision. In 2017, they joined VTB as an Analyst of the Liquidity Management Division, Treasury, Financial Department, and later became the Chief Specialist of the Financial Markets Operations Division. In 2018, they worked at Yerevan Municipality as the Vice-chairman and later the Chairman of the Finance and Economic Commission of the City Council. In 2020, Levon joined USAID as a Project Coordinator, and also worked as a Project Coordinator in the CIO team at The Government of the Republic of Armenia.
Levon Hovhannisyan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Russian - Armenian University in 2009. Levon then pursued a Master's degree in Finance, specializing in General Finance, from Russian - Armenian University and completed it in 2011. Levon also holds various additional certifications, including a certificate in Registry keeping and custody services for securities from the Central Depositary of Armenia in 2017 and an ACI Dealing Certificate in Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Money Markets, Derivatives, Repos, Asset Liability, and Risk Management from The Financian Markets Association in Paris, France in 2016. In 2012, Levon served as the Team Leader and achieved THIRD PLACE in the Imagine Cup Armenia competition organized by Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia. Levon also obtained a certification related to being the head or a member of the executive body of an investment company and a foreign investment company from the Central Bank of Armenia in 2011.
