Claire Murtha

Claire Murtha has an extensive work experience spanning several years. Claire is currently the Assistant Director of Communications at The Greater Boston Food Bank since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Communications Contractor at a Regional Financial Services Firm from May 2022 to August 2022, where they effectively managed charitable contributions, grant making, and community outreach activities. Before that, they served as the Director of Internal Communications at Cook Children's Health Care System from November 2006 to April 2019. Claire also worked as the Executive Director at The Anthony Spinazzola Foundation from November 2005 to May 2006. Claire has experience in event management as well, having served as the President at Event Avenue, LLC. from January 2004 to September 2005. Claire'searlier experience includes various roles at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, such as Regional Director, Acting Regional Director, Associate Director, Regional Development Officer, and Regional Representative from 1986 to 2003.

Claire Murtha pursued their undergraduate degree from 1981 to 1985 at the University of Rhode Island, where they double majored in English and Political Science, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Claire also holds a certification in Change Management Specialist (CMS) from the Management & Strategy Institute, LLC, which they obtained in August 2022.
