Arlene Cox is the Chief Operating Officer of The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation.
In this role, Ms. Cox assumes additional leadership responsibilities while maintaining focus on various staff and operational issues, as well as serving as an adviser to Rachel Garbow Monroe, President and CEO. Ms. Cox continues to serve on the senior leadership team in support of the president and board.
Arlene Cox has been working at The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation since June 2005 and previously served as the Chief of Staff. She was responsible for managing the entire staff on a wide range of topics, including operations, human resources, information technology, accounting, maintenance, real estate, and grants. Arlene also serves as the President’s second-in-command, helping to keep her days running smoothly.
Arlene began her career as a manager for an international death care industry in the outskirts of Philadelphia. After just a few years, she was promoted to manage the southern California administrative side of the death care industry. She worked in San Diego for three years before being promoted to an executive position where she managed the administrative work for the Baltimore region.
Arlene graduated from East Stroudsburg University located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains.
