Dr. D. Kall Loper

Dr. D. Kall Loper has extensive work experience in the field of digital forensics and incident response. Dr. D. Kall is currently serving as the Vice President of Digital Forensics and Incident Response at Cyderes, where they lead the global DFIR practice. Prior to this role, they held positions such as Computer Science Professor at Southern Methodist University, Senior Director at Protiviti Technology, and worked in incident response and computer forensics at Deloitte. Dr. D. Kall also served as a Senior Instructor at IDFSC, a Panel Member/TWG Member at NIJ Electronic Crime Technology Center of Excellence, and owned their own computer forensic consultancy and private investigations firm called Loper Forensic Services. Additionally, they have held academic positions at the University of North Texas and the University of North Texas at Dallas. Dr. Loper's expertise includes computer forensics, network forensics, malware analysis, and data compromise investigation, among other areas.

Dr. D. Kall Loper holds a PhD in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, which was obtained from 1994 to 2000. They also have a BS in Criminal Justice & Sociology from Texas Christian University, earned from 1990 to 1994. In terms of additional certifications, Dr. Loper has qualifications including the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) from GIAC Certifications in October 2020 and the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from GIAC Certifications in May 2016. They also obtained the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC Certifications and the GSEC - Global Information Assurance Certification Security Essentials Certification from the SANS Institute, both in April 2014. Additionally, Dr. Loper holds the XRY Advanced Certification from Micro Systemation, the ACE, AccessData Certified Examiner from Access Data, and the UFED Physical/Logical Certified Examiner from Cellebrite, although specific dates for the last two certifications are not provided.
