Steve Meckl

Steve Meckl has a diverse work experience in the fields of cybersecurity and operations. Steve has held leadership positions at various organizations, including Cyderes, Google, Accenture, Norton LifeLock, Symantec, and the FBI. Steve Meckl has led global teams and delivered cybersecurity services to major financial, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, energy, transportation, and government organizations. Steve has expertise in incident response, threat intelligence, managed detection and response, and managed security services. Steve Meckl has also been involved in developing innovative technology solutions and leading teams in the implementation of operational capabilities. Additionally, they have experience in software engineering, where they played a role in designing and developing software components for consumer and enterprise security software.

Steve Meckl holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from George Mason University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science degree in Information Security and Assurance at the same university from 2008 to 2010. For their undergraduate studies, Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with a focus on Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan between 1993 and 1998. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have also obtained certifications such as the GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) from GIAC in 2014 and the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in April 2004.
