Bernardo Martins

Mr. Martins has over 25 years of experience leading the finance, accounting, risk management, and compliance functions. Leveraging his prior CFO experience and expertise in financial reporting, treasury, audits, and statutory compliance, Mr. Martins manages Houston Food Bank’s Finance, Accounting, and grant allocation teams. Prior to joining Houston Food Bank in 2022, Mr. Martins worked as a senior finance leader, in several industries and Fortune 500 companies, within the United States and abroad. He is a Texas Certified Public Accountant and Fraud Examiner. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Pontifical Catholic University – Brazil, and an MBA in International Management and Finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management – Phoenix, AZ. When he is not spending time with his wife Cristine and their two sons he enjoys martial arts and recently earned his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt.
