Director Of Clinical Quality For Behavioral Health at The Institute for Family Health

Kenneth Myers, LCSW has diverse work experience in the mental health field. Kenneth is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Quality for Behavioral Health at The Institute for Family Health. Additionally, Kenneth is the owner and founder of Kenneth Myers, LCSW, PLLC, where they offer individual psychotherapy services to adults, including virtual telemental health services. Kenneth also provides training, consultation, and clinical supervision services.

Prior to their current roles, Kenneth worked as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and as the Senior Director of Clinical Operations at the Mental Health Service Corps. Kenneth also held several positions at The Institute for Family Health, including Regional Director for Psychosocial Services/Behavioral Health, Co-Founder and Chair of the LGBTQ+ Health Task Force, Associate Program Director, and HIV/AIDS Care Coordinator and Mental Health Clinician.

Earlier in their career, Kenneth was involved in HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ+ youth outreach and support at Lifelong, where they served as an HIV/AIDS Medical Case Manager and held various roles within The MPowerment Project. Kenneth also served as the Co-Chair of the Youth & Young Adults Subcommittee at the Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness and worked as a Homeless LGBTQ+ Youth Outreach Coordinator at San Diego Youth Services.

Kenneth Myers, LCSW received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts/Cultural Studies from The New School in 2000. Kenneth later completed their Master of Social Work degree at the University of Washington in 2009. Additionally, they hold several certifications including a Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from the Trauma Research Foundation (obtained in 2021), an Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (AMSR) certification from EDC (Education Development Center) (obtained in 2017), and a Trans* Health Conference Behavioral Health Professional Track Certification from the Mazzoni Center (obtained in 2016). Kenneth also has certifications in Rational-Emotive & Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Advanced Clinical Practice, Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and Problem Gambling Treatment. Kenneth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker accredited by the New York State Education Department.
