Jonathan Starling

Jonathan Starling has over fifteen years of experience in the education and training field. Jonathan is currently the Head of Learning at The Knot Worldwide. Prior to their current position, Jonathan was the Talent Development, Content and Strategy lead at Silverline from July of 2018 until September of 2019. From December of 2014 until July of 2018 they were the Head of Learning and Development at Apto. Jonathan Starling has also held positions as an HR Generalist/Contractor at AppleOne Employment Services and as the World Wide Sales and Marketing Education Lead at Webroot. Jonathan began their career in 2005 as a Linguist/Trainer with the USAF and then transitioned to a Training/HR Specialist with DIRECTV in 2010.

Jonathan Starling's educational career began at Cary High School. Jonathan then attended Western Carolina University, where they studied Political Science and Communication. After graduation, they enlisted in the United States Army and attended the Defense Language Institute, where they studied Middle/Near Eastern and Semitic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics.

Jonathan Starling reports to Emily Markmann, Chief Human Resource Officer. They are on a team with Kara Scovitch - Senior Director, Global Talent Management, Kate Hoffman Slavit - Senior Director, Global Employee Experience, and Lauren Holzer - Senior Director, Global Talent Acquisition.
