The Korte Company is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality of commercial construction projects. This position offers a great opportunity to join a strong, successful, and highly-respected team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Read and interpret specifications, plans and resource documents to determine requirements and planning procedures as outlined in the RFP
Document and update appropriate logs
Conduct, attend and participate in project meetings
Coordinate Three Phase of Control plan – Preparatory, Initial and Final Phases
Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in-progress
Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner
Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the jobsite
Complete job close-out procedures
Able to work in Quality Control System (QCS)/ USACE Resident Management System (RMS 3.0)
National travel and potential relocation with short-term notice will be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The characteristics listed below are representative of those sought to perform this job successfully.
Working knowledge of field construction including systems, practices, general engineering principals and construction techniques, materials, methods and sequencing
Familiarity with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1
Extensive experience in quality control for the overall construction of commercial projects
Experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
Strong work ethic with a passion to fulfill commitments
Remarkable enthusiasm
Sincere obligation to client satisfaction
Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, multi-tasking, communication and conflict management skills
Computer knowledge in sending emails, daily reports, construction look-ahead schedules, and iPad use

This position will be at the worksite at all times whenever work or testing is being performed. The worksite environment is constantly changing and may include:

High, precarious places
Risk of electrical shock
Outside weather conditions, such as extreme heat and extreme cold
Moderate to loud noise levels
