Kwabena Owusu-Koduah

Kwabena Owusu-Koduah is a passionate advocate for employment rights. He recently joined the Law Firm of J.W. Stafford following a one-year clerkship at the District Court of Maryland, Prince George’s County, where he assisted the Judges with writing memos and opinions; case and statutory research; handling affidavit judgments as well as the other legal matters.

During law school, Kwabena advocated for his clients through his Student Attorney positions with his law school’s General Practice and Community Development Clinics. Kwabena also worked as a Research Assistant on a published article, served on two different student-faculty committees, and was a member of the school’s Moot Court team.

Kwabena also took advantage of opportunities to expand his knowledge in employment law and the local and federal court systems through various internships such as: Legal Intern for the Honorable Amit P. Mehta at U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia; Legal Intern, Office of Inspector General-Personnel Division with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; and as a Law Clerk for Administrative Law Judge William H. England at the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH).

Kwabena was an active member of both the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA). He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) and Metropolitan Washington Employment lawyers Association (MWELA). In his spare time, Kwabena enjoys playing soccer (and rooting for Manchester United) and spending time with family and friends.
