Jim Kasper is an experienced professional in the field of cancer research, currently serving as the Executive Director of Research at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since August 2007, where responsibilities include analyzing and tracking society-funded cancer research and overseeing the translational research grant program. Prior to this role, Jim Kasper held the position of Senior Director of Research after being promoted from Director, Cancer Research in November 2011. Additionally, since September 2018, Jim Kasper has been an Advisor on the external advisory board of The University of Kansas Cancer Center, contributing to the development of sub-groups aimed at achieving NIH Comprehensive Cancer Center Status, which was attained in Spring 2022. Previous experience includes roles as Senior Investigator II and Senior Research Scientist II at Bayer from 1993 to 2007, and Research Scientist at the National Cancer Institute from 1986 to 1992. Jim Kasper holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Science from Hood College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Penn State University.
