Deborah Giles

Deborah Giles has a diverse work experience in event planning and coordination. Deborah is currently working at The Linux Foundation as an Event Director, where they are responsible for planning and managing conferences and meetings. Prior to this, they held the positions of Senior Event Manager and Event Manager at the same organization.

Before joining The Linux Foundation, Deborah worked at Corsair Memory as an Events Program Manager, where they oversaw all company events, including trade shows and corporate sales shows. Deborah also managed staff travel logistics for events.

Deborah's earlier experience includes working as a Project Coordinator at VTM Group, where they planned and coordinated trade shows, member meetings, and seminars. Deborah also served as an Assistant Brand Manager at Northwest Natural Products, where they planned and organized trade show set-up and breakdown.

Additionally, Deborah has experience as a Marketing and Events Coordinator at Portland Fasteners, where they coordinated marketing materials and performed inventory management. Deborah also worked as an Administrative Assistant at Azusa Pacific University's Department of Psychology, where they assisted with hiring and project management.

Early in their career, Deborah gained experience as a Children's Camp Intern at SPC Camp, where they organized and planned activities for children.

Throughout their career, Deborah has demonstrated strong organizational and coordination skills, managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and overseeing logistics for both domestic and international events. Deborah has experience working with vendors and maintaining relationships with sponsors. Deborah'sversatile background makes their a valuable asset in event planning and management.

Deborah Giles pursued their undergraduate education from 2006 to 2009 at Azusa Pacific University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. In 2008, they also attended the International College of Management Sydney, where they focused on Event Management for a brief period. Additionally, they obtained certification in Technical Meeting & Event Production from the Event Leadership Institute in January 2016.
