Katie Greenley

Senior Manager, Community Engagement & Outreach - CNCF at The Linux Foundation

Katie Greenley has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Katie started their career as a Travel Agent at Africa Adventure Consultants in 2008. In 2009, they worked as a Marketing/Public Events Coordinator at The Butterfly Pavilion. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Resort Technology Partners (RTP), where they managed marketing and event budgets, developed promotional materials, and planned and implemented trade shows and conferences.

From 2011 to 2014, Katie worked as an Event Coordinator at The Active Network, where they were responsible for planning and implementing trade shows and customer events, as well as managing event budgets. In 2014, they joined The Linux Foundation, where they held various roles. Katie initially worked as an Event Marketing Coordinator, managing all aspects of events and conferences, including budgeting, vendor management, and event websites. Katie then progressed to become a Meeting and Event Planner, overseeing event strategy and execution, both domestically and internationally. In their most recent role at The Linux Foundation, starting in 2019, Katie worked as the Senior Manager of Community Engagement and Outreach for the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), where they drove community engagement initiatives.

Throughout their career, Katie has demonstrated strong skills in event management, budgeting, vendor management, and team leadership. Katie has experience in planning and executing large-scale events, managing budgets, and building relationships with stakeholders and clients.

Katie Greenley pursued their Bachelor of Science in Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Planning from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Katie was enrolled from 2006 to 2010.
