Todd Benzies

Todd Benzies has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Todd started their career as an International Business Trainer at Chinasoft International in 2004, followed by roles as an English Language & Culture Teacher at Beijing Normal University and a Foreign Trainer at Wall Street Institute.

In 2005, Todd transitioned to the financial sector and worked as a Financial Advisor at Ameriprise Financial, providing comprehensive financial planning solutions to clients. After two years, they joined Branduin Creative as the Director of Business Development, where they managed experiential marketing and event production programs for global brands.

Todd moved to the Symbian Foundation in 2010, serving as a Global Event Marketing Manager. Here, they contributed to the organization's mission of driving innovation in the mobile space. In 2011, they joined Brocade as the Global Event Marketing Manager, where they played a role in developing and delivering innovative networking solutions.

In 2013, Todd began their career at The Linux Foundation as a Program Manager, working on various programs and projects to support open source technology ecosystems. Todd later became a Senior Program Manager and then the Sr. Director, Program Management & Operations, responsible for providing financial and intellectual resources, infrastructure, and services to promote the creation of shared technology.

Parallel to their work at The Linux Foundation, Todd joined Hyperledger, hosted by The Linux Foundation, in 2016 as the Sr. Director, Program Management & Operations. In this role, they contributed to the advancement of cross-industry blockchain technologies by collaborating with leaders in finance, banking, and other sectors.

Most recently, Todd holds the position of Sr. Director, Project Formation at The Linux Foundation, where they continue to drive the creation of sustainable open source ecosystems through their leadership and expertise in project management and operations.

Todd Benzies attended UC Santa Barbara where they obtained a BA in Business Economics and Chinese. Todd additionally studied Chinese at Peking University and Beijing Normal University.
