Susan Hardesty has extensive experience in the field of mental health and clinical services. Susan began their work experience at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007, where they held the position of Medical Director of the Mental Health Service Line and Vice Chair - Clinical until 2009. In 2009, they joined The Menninger Clinic as the Vice President and Medical Director. In this role, they served on the Executive Committee and oversaw all clinical services for the hospital, working closely with the Chief of Staff and Chief Nursing Officer. Susan also held the position of Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine during their time at The Menninger Clinic.
Susan Hardesty received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry from Winthrop University, where they studied from 1966 to 1969. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and obtained a Doctor of Medicine with Honors degree in Medicine, completing their studies from 1986 to 1990.
