Dawn Kriss

Dawn Kriss is an accomplished conservator with extensive experience in conservation treatment and technical examination of various objects, currently serving as a Conservator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since October 2019. Previously, Dawn operated Dawn Kriss LLC, providing consulting and conservation services, and worked as an Assistant Conservator at the American Museum of Natural History and Project Objects Conservator at the Brooklyn Museum. Dawn's expertise includes conducting technical studies on Peruvian ceramics and managing archaeological collections, supported by a robust educational background with a Master's degree in Conservation of Archaeological and Ethnographic Objects from UCLA and a BA in Fine/Studio Arts. Throughout the career, Dawn has contributed to various prestigious institutions, demonstrating a commitment to the conservation field through both hands-on treatment and educational roles.
