Alison Miller has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of sustainability and environmental management. Alison is currently serving as the Chief of Staff for Global Science and Director of Science Implementation at The Nature Conservancy. Prior to this role, they were a Lecturer at Columbia University School of Professional Studies, where they taught a graduate course in sustainability management. Alison also held the position of Chief of Staff at Columbia Climate School, where they played a key role in the design and development of the new school. Alison has a strong background in research and strategic leadership, having served as the Associate Director at the Research Program in Sustainability Policy & Management at Columbia University's Earth Institute. Alison also held various roles at the Earth Institute, including Deputy Director for Management and Deputy Executive Director. Prior to their academic career, they gained experience as an Energy Conservation Intern at NYC DCAS Division of Energy Management. Alison Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & International Relations from the University of Delaware, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Alison later earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), attending from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they also obtained a certification as a LEED Green Associate from the US Green Building Council.
